A nation’s true strength lies in the values it imparts to its children and the respect it extends to those who safeguard its sovereignty. At the Centurion Foundation, this belief guides every initiative we undertake.
As the president of the Centurion Foundation, I feel honoured to be a part of a mission which is embedded in service, justice, and national duty. The vision statement of the Centurion Foundation – “Strengthening Childhood, Empowering Armed Forces” marks our commitment towards developing a disciplined, knowledgeable, and service-minded India.
All over the nation, there are children and wards of military personnel who have the desire and potential to serve their nation but cannot do so due to a lack of guidance and opportunities. At the same time, military personnel and their families encounter legal, administrative, and social difficulties after years of loyal service to their nation. The Centurion Foundation seeks to address all these challenges.
We are involved in scholarship and awareness programs for defence aspirants, end-to-end guidance through examinations and medical processes, providing legal aid to Armed Forces personnel, as well as welfare programs for gallantry award-winning individuals. In paying tribute to our heroes, we are committed to making sure sacrifice is accompanied by dignity and justice.
A major aim of the Foundation is to build a national culture in which national service is viewed as a shared responsibility, not a profession in itself. Supporting a member of each family to take up a uniformed career instils discipline, a sense of a unitary nation, and a clear understanding of national service.
We are also committed to supporting women in the Armed Forces and ensuring that there are equal opportunities and that the system is based on merit, and that “today’s India represents strength and diversity.”
The Centurion Foundation is deeply committed to the Nation First ideology, not as a slogan, but a lifestyle. I would like to invite each one of you to be part of us on this mission of purpose, service, and nation-building.
